Charlotte Fox grew up singing in the Morning Star Baptist Church Choir! In the hills of Appalachia. Her father was a coal miner and a Baptist Minister. So, music and “the word” are in her DNA.
She produces from the point of view of outcasts and misfits, bringing a new perspective and incisive wit to spoken word projects. With a love of family and a love of jazz; she cut her teeth in a band, during the early 70’s playing NCO clubs in Washington, D.C. She was also a DJ on WAMU’s renowned “Spirits Known and Unknown.”
She nominated and won the Lifetime Grammy for the legendary
Gil Scott-Heron.
“I think I’ll call it morning…from now on.”
